The moving vans finally arrived. After 5 months, we are now, officially, living in our new home. I’d love to say that all the renovation is complete, but that would be untrue. However, enough has been completed that we could move in. Unpacking boxes has been backbreaking work. And fitting all we had in our larger New Jersey home into this home has been a challenge. The garage is now full of “what won’t fit”. Which we are in process of deciding how to dispose of; there are options for both selling and donating. We’d like to get our cars in the garage and to buy that Golf Cart!
The bathrooms and bedrooms are for the most part complete. Still more to unpack in there and some punch list items, but they function. The kitchen is in its last stages of completion. We should be able to put things away and fire up the stove top by this weekend. The weather has been so sensational that we find ourselves on the terrace a lot. The Savannah rockers are heaven and our guests gravitate to that since our living room is still under renovation with new fireplace mantel and columns and paint and just a lot of chaos in there right now.
The “social” scene here at The Landings is in full swing so we find ourselves out at a lot at dinners and cocktail parties. Today I decorated my hat for the Kentucky Derby party. I’ve found a great place for pedicures. I know the aisles at the Publix. I found the liquor store (Sam’s Club) and I am now pretty good at pumping gas (a Jersey girl thing).

Kitchen appliances going in. And the farm sink (below) being installed.

How many glasses do need. NOT this many. Editing down....

Master bedroom starting to come together. Amazing water views from every window.

Master bath we are just setting up.

My dressing room is fantastic! And my crystal and shell collection shaping up on the glass shelves in the Living Room.

The guest room bathroom featuring tile we bought in Amsterdam and our blue/white collection of pottery and porcelain.
